Netflix finds yet another way to market itself by introducing sharing function to Instagram Stories!

In 2018 we saw a huge increase in the use of Instagram stories and it is only expected to rise moving forward. Many brands are trying to utilise this by jumping on the bandwagon and introducing their very own Insta-stories strategies to help capture that market.

Many have been creating their own GIPHYs to leave a resonating mark. Netflix, however, has taken it one step further by adding a sharing function from their app in which you can now share your favourite show to your Insta-stories!

Once shared onto your Insta-Story, you can move the title, add a poll, a meter or any GIFs you like! This will definitely become a popular feature with people sharing their interests, asking for recommendations and so on.

The best thing about this? People who have the app installed
on their phone will have the “watch on Netflix” link at the top left of the
image (second image), which will facilitate direct viewing!

This is a huge move for Netflix and we can only assume that many other organizations will start to figure out their own way to integrate this into their strategy. What do you think is next?
